From December 16 to December 24, 2025, the Pilipino Catholics in Kuwait (PCK) gathered each morning at 3:00 AM at the Holy Family Co-Cathedral for Simbang Gabi, offering prayers, sacrifices, and hope in the quiet hours before dawn. Each day began with the Holy Rosary, followed by carols that filled the cathedral with the joy and anticipation of Christmas.
The Holy Eucharistic Celebration was the heart of every gathering, presided over by Rev. Fr. Marlon A. Magdoza, OFM Capuchin, Spiritual Director of PCK. The community was especially blessed on December 22 and December 24 by the presence of His Lordship Bishop Aldo Berardi, O.SS.T., whose presiding at the Mass strengthened the faith of the migrant faithful.
After the Mass, the spirit of fellowship continued outside the cathedral, where stalls offered traditional Filipino foods and volunteers warmly served free meals and coffee, turning each early morning into a moment of shared joy and unity.
As Simbang Gabi 2025 concluded, it left the community spiritually renewed, united in faith, and ready to carry the light of Christ into their daily lives.
Indeed, before the sun rose, hearts were already awake, welcoming Emmanuel, God with us.
