We are very happy to welcome new members into the Family of the Church. Through Baptism, your child is born anew as a child of God and embraced by the community of faith.
Welcome to the Family of God
Infant Baptisms are held in our parish twice every month. We look forward to celebrating this joyful sacrament with your family.
Born of Water and the Spirit
Baptism is the first and foundational sacrament of Christian initiation. Through it, a person is cleansed from original sin, reborn as a beloved child of God, and incorporated as a full member of the Body of Christ — the Church.
Please note: Kindly write the correct spelling of your child's name when filling the registration form, as that name will appear on the Baptism Certificate of the child.
Baptism Schedule
Infant Baptisms are held twice a month. You may choose the date that works best for your family.
2nd Thursday of the Month
Every second Thursday, the parish celebrates the Sacrament of Baptism for infants.
5:00 PM4th Thursday of the Month
Every fourth Thursday, a second Baptism ceremony is offered for families.
5:00 PMPre-Baptism Seminar
Held every 2nd Monday of the month in Room No. 14. Attendance is compulsory for both parents and godparents before the baptism.
7:00 PM – 9:00 PMChoose Your Date
You can choose the 2nd or 4th Thursday based on the schedule given after completing the seminar and submitting documents.

Follow these steps in order to arrange the baptism of your child at St. Therese Parish.
Register for the Pre-Baptism Seminar
Email the Parish Office to register for the Pre-Baptism Seminar, mentioning all names and contact numbers of those attending.
- Seminar is held every 2nd Monday of the month
- Venue: Room No. 14 · 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Attendance is compulsory for both parents and godparents (or proxy godparents)
Prepare Required Documents
Gather all documents listed in the Documents section below. Ensure all names are correctly spelled and documents are in English.
- Use BLOCK LETTERS when completing the registration form
- Bring both originals and copies
- Child's name on the form must be exactly as it will appear on the Baptism Certificate
Submit Form & Pay Fee at Parish Office
Fill and submit the Baptism Registration Form at the parish office along with all required documents and the Baptism fee.
- Baptism Fee: KWD 10/-
- Fee is paid at the Parish Office before the Baptism
- Choose your preferred date: 2nd or 4th Thursday at 5:00 PM
Required Documents
Please prepare all documents before visiting the parish office. Submit the registration form together with these documents.
- Baptism Registration Form – obtained from and submitted at the parish office
- Write the child's name clearly in BLOCK LETTERS — this name will appear on the Baptism Certificate
- Birth Certificate of the child — English Translation
- Church Marriage Certificate of both parents
- Baptism Certificate of Godparents / Proxy Godparents
- If godparents are not residents in Kuwait: A letter from their home Church / Parish is required
- Godparents (or proxy godparents) must attend the Pre-Baptism Seminar
Pre-Baptism Seminar
Attending the seminar is compulsory for all parents and godparents before the baptism of your child.
Seminar Details
The Pre-Baptism Seminar prepares parents and godparents for the responsibilities of raising a child in the Catholic faith. Attendance is required before a baptism date can be confirmed.

To register, kindly email the Parish Office mentioning all names and contact numbers of those who will be attending.

Important Notes
Please read these carefully before visiting the parish office.
Child's Name
Write the correct spelling of your child's name on the registration form. That name will be printed on the official Baptism Certificate.
Seminar is Compulsory
Both parents and godparents (or proxy godparents) must attend the Pre-Baptism Seminar before the baptism date is assigned.
Godparents Abroad
If godparents are not residents in Kuwait, a letter from their home Church or Parish must be provided before the baptism.
Baptism Fee
A fee of KWD 10/- is to be paid at the Parish Office before the Baptism ceremony takes place.
