First Visit of the Coptic Orthodox Bishop to the Co-Cathedral of the Holy Family in Kuwait

His Eminence Anba Antonios, Coptic Orthodox Metropolitan of Jerusalem, Kuwait, and the Near East, made his first visit to the Catholic Church during his presence in the country, visiting the Co-Cathedral of the Holy Family, where he was welcomed by Father Sliman Hifawi.
قام صاحب النيافة الأنبا أنطونيوس، مطران الأقباط الأرثوذكس على القدس والكويت والشرق الأدنى، بزيارته الأولى إلى الكنيسة الكاثوليكية خلال وجوده في البلاد، حيث زار كاتدرائية العائلة المقدسة في دولة الكويت، وقام في استقباله الأب سليمان حيفاوي.

His Eminence, accompanied by the Coptic Orthodox clergy from across Kuwait, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received. The meeting provided an opportunity to share information about the situation of their respective Churches and faithful in Kuwait, as well as the pastoral experiences of the Christian communities present in the country.
وقد أعرب صاحب النيافة، الذي رافقه عدد من كهنة الكنيسة القبطية الأرثوذكسية من مختلف مناطق الكويت، عن شكره وتقديره لحفاوة الاستقبال والترحيب. وشكّل اللقاء فرصة لتبادل الحديث حول أوضاع الكنيستين وأبنائهما المؤمنين في دولة الكويت، إلى جانب مشاركة الخبرات والتجارب الرعوية المتعلقة بخدمة الجماعات المسيحية المقيمة في البلاد.

Both sides expressed their shared desire to strengthen fraternal relations and establish closer channels of communication in order to foster cooperation and provide better support to the Christian communities in Kuwait.

كما عبّر الجانبان عن رغبتهما المشتركة في تعزيز العلاقات الأخوية، وتوطيد قنوات التواصل والتنسيق بين الكنيستين، بما يساهم في تعزيز التعاون وتقديم دعم وخدمة أفضل لأبناء الجماعات المسيحية في دولة الكويت.
